Sustainably Farmed / Woman Owned / Natural, Low Intervention
The Baracchi winery is located on the hill adjacent to Cortona and the winery overlooks the beautiful panorama of the Valdichiana under the delightful Tuscan sun.
The Baracchi company consists of 32 hectares of vineyards located in four distinct locations, all within the DOC Cortona: a "terroir" renowned for centuries for its vocation for quality viticulture guaranteed by the unique combination of high altitude, marly land , great brightness and a fantastic microclimate, warm, dry and with a wide temperature range. From the beginning, the individual varieties planted were chosen on the basis of the characteristics of the various soils in order to enhance their characteristics and typicality.
Riccardo Baracchi’s passion for the place where he was born has managed to unite and share the production of great wines with the world of hospitality, catering and well-being. With the same passion he has continued the tradition of the family that cultivated the vine and produced wine since 1860, giving it energy and a modern and high quality character. Riccardo, together with his son Benedetto, his wife Silvia and thanks to the professionalism of the oenologist and agronomist Stefano Chioccioli, have identified the ideal soils for each variety of vine, creating a modern and dynamic company. An invitation to taste the evolution of an ancient family tradition.
