About Domaine Papillon-Lavoignat
SUSTAINABLY FARMED
Situated in the heart of the Mâconnais wine region, the owner of Domaine Papillon inherited the vines from his grandparents. It has a surface area of 14 hectares of rich clay-limestone terrain. In order to be as eco-friendly as possible, all the effluents from the winery are recovered and spread over land authorised as part of an approved spreading plan. This winery is therefore one of the most modern in the Mâconnais region. The estate constantly strives to work in a spirit of environmental protection.
Domaine Papillon-Lavoignat is managed by Stéphane Lavoignat. With a long experience in viticulture, Stéphane Lavoignat involves all his know-how in the cultivation of the vine and in winemaking in order to make wines typical of the appellation and its terroir. A terroir which links the climate, the soil, the grape variety as well as their technical knowledge allowing them to produce very delicate wines.
