Wine Sales Representative Job Description

Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for wine and a knack for relationship-building? We’re looking for several Wine Sales Representatives to cover the territories of Northern Virginia (NOVA); Annapolis, Maryland; and Baltimore, Maryland, and Washington DC. These are territories that combine existing, loyal client bases with significant opportunity for growth. Our territories are flexible and can be designed around you.

You’ll represent a curated portfolio of 700+ artisanal, small production wines from around the world, offering quality, diversity, and stories worth sharing. As part of our importer and distributor team, you’ll step into a territory with strong momentum, while also cultivating new business and expanding your reach.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage & Grow a Key Territory – Build on an established base of restaurants, retailers, and hospitality clients while actively prospecting and onboarding new accounts.

  • Drive Sales & Market Presence – Implement strategic sales plans to grow revenue and increase brand visibility across NOVA.

  • Foster Lasting Relationships – Be a trusted resource to clients, delivering personalized service and in-depth wine knowledge.

  • Deliver Excellence – Ensure smooth order processing, resolve issues quickly, and provide reliable, hands-on client support.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven Wine Sales Experience – Prior sales experience with a wine importer, distributor, or supplier is essential.

  • Industry Knowledge – Strong understanding of the hospitality and retail wine scene in the territory, from purchasing decisions to wine list strategy.

  • Sales & Relationship Skills – A track record of exceeding goals, with persuasive communication and the ability to foster long-term loyalty.

  • Self-Starter Mentality – Highly organized and motivated, with the ability to manage your time and territory effectively.

  • Logistics Ready – Must be 21+, have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable access to a personal vehicle.
