Josef and Christine Bauer, husband and wife, represent the 4th generation and their children Viktoria, Katharina and Florian the 5th generation to manage the 10-hectare winery with vineyards on the Feuersbrunn Hengstberg hill. The whole Bauer family is involved in the operation of the Josef Bauer winery, slightly northeast of Vienna, Austria. Joe, the winemaker, is one of the most talented and accomplished enologists in Austria, making great wines.
The winery has 32 acres, the main veriatys are Grüner Veltliner , Riesling and Roter Veltliner. The winery is cultivating the vineyards organic since vintage 2020 and they will have the certifcate of organic with vintage 2023, because the change takes three years in Austria. "

Notions of peardrop, freshly cut green pear peel and and creaminess create a lovely, fresh, appetizing nose. The palate then majors on that creamy but fresh mouthfeel, rounding out the pear flavors with slender smoothness. The finish is dry and bright.
