About Langenwalter

Sustainably Farmed

The Langenwalter family has been growing wine in the Palatinate since the 17th century. In the 1960s, Willi Langenwalter began bottling and marketing his own wines. His son and daughter-in-law Klaus and Renate gradually expanded the family business to 24 hectares of vineyards.

After successfully completing his studies as a viticulture technician in 2002, Thorsten Langenwalter went into the viticulture business and now runs it together with his parents. The trio has been supported by Thorsten's wife Daniela since 2011. In 2012 the in-laws' business was taken over and the vineyard area increased to 30ha. Thorsten's brother Fred, who successfully studied viticulture and oenology in Geisenheim and now works in a wine laboratory, advises the family business on all oenological questions.
